I lead enterprise-wide Privacy Compliance programs intersecting areas of Risk Management, Control Frameworks, and Regulatory Commitments. Additionally, I lead external assessments of our privacy program demonstrated to regulators, including the US Federal Trade Commission. As someone who works alongside some of the best privacy attorneys, I needed a way to “speak their language” without having to attend law school.

The UT MSISP program helped me understand the core concepts for privacy in society and challenged me to think broader than the swirl of the regulatory environment, ultimately grounding me in what mattered fundamentally for the field of privacy professionals. Being able to have a breadth of knowledge in both fields of information security and privacy helped me stand out for the role that I now hold, and has proven to be an excellent return on investment where I see myself successfully strategizing and influencing without authority, thanks to my degree.
